Charger or not to Charger

? Was the 235 hp 273 only put in GT's with pale yellow exterior and black interior and the squared off valance in 65 ? I read on a site that was the case but my fender tag says otherwise. THX

The book I have says it was an option in the GT as the charger 273, nothing there about color though. Also says in 65 there was 18,000 V8 equipped Dart GTs sold.

I think I read that the pale yellow only came on GTs. Not that that was the only way to get the engine. I am in no way an authority though.

According to my factory literature, the yellow Code 881 (just called "YELLOW") was available only with the Dart GT, Coronet 500, Polara, Custom 880 and Monaco. The 273/235 motor was available in any Dart V8 model EXCEPT the wagon.
