Thought you might get a kick out of this... This Holley float has only been in use for about two weeks. I started the car tonight after sitting a week. It ran for a few seconds and then quit abruptly. Pulled the air cleaner, cranked the engine and watched a geiser shoot out of the vent tube. When I pulled the bowl I found the float completely full of fuel.
You can't really see it in the picture but there's just a small air bubble in the corner. There's a tiny, nearly invisible crack that barely weeps fuel back out. Think I'd rather have brass floats but at least it was easy to spot through the translucent plastic.
