I have receipts going back to 1970 for my car, if you totaled them up and adjusted for inflation it looks like I have about $40k in my car too. This the the 3rd motor, the 3rd front end rebuild, the 2nd paint job, etc, etc. Still at least I krylon restored my dash in respectible silver not black LOL!
