I'm sure some never heard this but, from what I understand, the 58 Fury was 1 color only, Beige/Tan. Never offered in red, or any other color from the factory.
That's what I've been told, more than once.
One of my favorite movies though, even IF that 68 Charger had Crager's on it!

George LeBay explains in the book that his brother Raymond special ordered the car in red.

I had a 58 Fury in beige, and that was the only color available. I didn't read the book you mention, but maybe dealer had it sprayed red.

It's even sort of covered in the movie. Every car on the line is not red.

Except Christine.

In the book Christine is '58 Fury Red 4 door and Dennis car is '74 Duster. In the movie, the engine sound anyway in 428 CJ.
