OK, the election is over! Time to prepare for Christmas, not because I am so very prompt - more like I am very slow... I could use a few good ideas for the following:
Wife - 50 something...
Son - 20 year old college student
Daughter - 17 yr. old high school student

In return, I will offer the following ideas for y'all that have been good for me...
For the wife, just about anything that I have made in the woodshop. Quilt rack, clocks, shelving units, lazy susan, garden benches...

Son - ever since he was born, for birthday and Christmas, I would buy him tools instead of toys (he got lots of toys from others). Real tools, usually Craftsman. He has a tool box that would make a mechanic proud, and, he knows how to use them! An added bonus to this, he is not afraid to tackle any type of job. A subscription to a car mag when we started restoring our 'bird has been good also.

Daughter - Beginning when the kids were first born, each Christmas I give each of them a small photo album (20-24 pictures). I put pictures in each year from the previous 12 months and they would be pics of what we had done together - learning to swim, ride bikes, birthday parties, family trip, picnic, working in the yard, anything that we had done together or that was significant to them at the time (their friends, school functions, etc.). The kids have loved them, I wish I had also given one to the wife each year. Outside of the photo album, I usually get her a couple CD's or DVD's and gift certificates.

It's been a whole lot easier buying for the son!!!
Help me out folks,
Thanks,
C

For the misses a buff mid 20,s tennis pro,nah just kidding. I bought my wife airline tickets to see family she hadnt seen in 20 years on her side and i think thats the best gift she ever recieved as less than a year later she tragically lost her cousin she was close to, but they had a great time together and now my wife has new pics and memories. Was people i,d have never went to see but it was SOOO special to her. Son, Maybe some good Nascar tickets. Daughter the latest ipod or i phone.
