Good info, I seen another post similar to this and I think the dimension #'s are off, but someone will chime in here to verify.

Flange to flange (or drum to drum) numbers are way off. A-Body 8.75" axles are 57 1/8", F-Body 8.25" axles are 59 1/2".

Looks like another list of track width numbers.

The other numbers look accurate, though.

This seems to be the most accurate list I have found, so far.

That listing needs to go in the garbage. ol Frank did some pretty crappy research. A hollander manual could have been used, but, I guess not!

A 8.75 flange to flange are 52 5/8. Where that 51.40 number comes from is beyond me.

62-70 B rears ARE NOT the same length for those years.

That moparts link is the best for 8.75 rears.

thanks for informing me guys. A bud sent me this and I just figured I'd transfer it here but if it's shite then we/I need to dump it. Is any of this info "salvageable"?

EDIT: where can the rear info be found for the F,M,J, and R cars?

not being a bonehead but DionR sez 57 1/8 flange to flange and CB sez 52 5/8 for the same diff... ????? I don't want a Dust Up, just trying to get real numbers. I'll discard the ones I have from Adkins as all here says his numbers are skewed.

Both numbers are accurate, just to different points.

Mine (57 1/8") is from out of axle flange to axle flange, with drums. Or, inside to inside of wheel mounting surface.

Crackbacked's number (52 5/8") is housing flange to housing flange, and is also correct.
