So it's not a barn find but it is a crazy rare basement find.

Not mine but selling for someone I know. Located in MO.

2 brand new/old 1978-82 Chrysler Sno Runners.

These are in their original crates and as far as I can tell they have never been removed or assembled. The original paperwork is still zip tied to the frames. There is some surface rust and some flaking of the flat black paint but other than that they look great. Frames are painted hemi orange and are shiny through the dust.

The plastic on the tracks is a bit brittle and a couple cracked but I have researched them and they are available singly (1 each) for about $12.00 or as a complete track with chain for less than $150.00. Almost all parts are still available for these so you could ride them without fear of ruining them.

There is one that is like new on ebay for $2800 right now but it is reconditioned. There is one out there that is an old add from 2005 and it's probably gone but it was for $3200.00 in the crate.

He wants $2,500 for each one however he would like to sell them as a pair.

Make an offer for both via PM please.

I don't think he want's to separate them so the deal may be in buying both. These would look cool sitting next to your Mopar at the next car show. They fold down into 5 pieces via pins so they fit in a trunk.

Thanks

Closer to Xmas. Make a reasonable offer close to the asking price if your interested. They are not that expensive to ship since the crates are 72" x 15" x 26" and only weigh 100lbs max.

I got a quote from MO to MT on Fed Ex and it was only $330.00

Taking offers.

Thanks,

Mop

Bump.

Price has been lowered to $3800 for the pair plus shipping.

I checked and that's almost 2 for 1.

yes they are. There are parts on ebay and a site devoted to them that carries more.

http://shop.snorunner.com/

http://discount-marine-parts.com/dmp_sno.html - This place bouight out the entire remaining inventory of parts.

Lots of places for parts so no fear in riding them.

I am so tempted to buy them it's not funny.....thank god we haven't seen snow yet!

I wonder why those never caught on. Are replacement parts available?

Typical crappy Chrysler marketing led to their demise. They were originally built for the military and are designed to fit in a typical military ruck sack so a soldier can carry them on patrol.
