The '69 "S" was probably a 340 car at that time, the best bet would be to run the VIN and see what it shows. Who knows, it might have been a 383 car. Just a thought.

The 69 "S" came with a 440 too. Rare though!

I think the formula S was only a 340 or 383 and the 440 was a Cuda option only?I could be wrong though.

This is a photo taken in 83 of a friends 69 383 S car we found in an old barn down in Natchez Ms.....I wonder why it was parked? A white interior 4-speed car......what a shame!

I think you are right. Formula s came with 273 or 383 in 67. 340 or 383 in 68 and 69 4 speed or auto and Cuda option with 440 in 69 only and was only auto.

69 440 was a 'cuda 440 only.
69 you could also get the 340 or 383 without the Formula S or 'cuda package.
