I have a clean stripped 71 A904 case. That has damaged pump mount holes/ threads.

If you read the ATSG trans books they recommend these, as a "stand" to stand up another during a rebuild.
Set your trans you're building inside this one (stood up on end) and your output shaft can protrude thru and not hit anything as you build up your trans.if you were in the Chicago area I'd be interested.
