I noticed my radiator has alot of white flakey stuff sitting in it and i thought it wouldnt hurt to clean the radiator... My engine is not overheating but the white stuff is just floating around freely in there. I found a radiator cleaner made by permatex called heavy duty radiator cleaner.
The instructions say to drain the radiator then fill with water leaving enough room for the cleaner, add the cleaner and idle the engine for 30 minutes. Then it says to drain the radiator and fill it up with water again and run for 15 minutes then drain it and re-fill with 50/50 water and coolant. Just wondering if this procedure would work and was wondering if anyone has used the permatex radiator cleaner? and if so how does it work?
