I was driving the other night (in a parking lot) and noticed when I was going around a corner that there was a clunking noise coming from the steering column. I dont notice it all the time but it does happen. What could this be? thanks

This might sound like a stretch but I had a very similiar problem when coming out of a left hand corner there would be a very solid sounding clunk and a slight resistance felt in the steering. Turned out a bolt on the Pitman arm was too long and catching on the collector portion of my headers (another reason to hate headers). What I learned from this is keep an open mind when trying to locate weird suspension noises. Good luck

Ditto here. I had the same clunking and resistance, it was the zerk fitting on the pitman arm hitting the exhaust.
