Column shift to floor shift convo

wow, thats a chunk of change, and i cant imagine shipping to OZ will be cheap iether

there was a writeup floating around on how to make one of these yourself
 
Yeah, I see there are a few write ups on the forum but my column still feels a bit ratty for some reason and the shroud I got off a normal column doesn't fit properly. I'm guessing the shipping would or should be about $40-$50 bucks so I thought I would jump at it. That or buy a new column for $500 + shipping....
 
I just smoothed out my column shift collars and went with a Hurst Quarter stick. There are a couple threads on here about doing it. It looks stock and would save you some jingle!

Yeah I tried doing a similar thing but now the column is very ratty and not smooth at all, also get's a little stuck like it gets hooked up on something inside the top of the column. I had another shroud I put on at the back and had to ghetto it to get it to fit.
 
I have some spare time over the next few days so I think I might have to pull the whole column and work on it outside the car.
