Anybody try one of these. Comp Cams says this cam offer a step up from original equipment cam designs. They are stronger than stock.

Its their 340 cam, specs are...

Basic Operating RPM Range: 1,800-5,800
Intake Duration at 050 inch Lift: 222
Exhaust Duration at 050 inch Lift: 226
Duration at 050 inch Lift: 222 int./226 exh.
Advertised Intake Duration: 268
Advertised Exhaust Duration: 276
Advertised Duration: 268 int./276 exh.
Intake Valve Lift with Factory Rocker Arm Ratio: 0.464 in.
Exhaust Valve Lift with Factory Rocker Arm Ratio: 0.464 in.
Valve Lift with Factory Rocker Arm Ratio: 0.464 int./0.464 exh. lift
Lobe Separation (degrees): 110
 
Yeah, it like 1 set better than stock. So I think it have a good idle, does not seem very fast, high lift, it should break in easy and last a long time and be easier on the valve train.

Not like some grinds that do make more power but put high stress on the valve train.

Thinking of trying it this spring.
