building my 360 wondering what you guys run for cams in 360s

73 duster, budget yet power and torque needed

not really into anything over 2000 stall converter (not upgrading just yet)

daily driven lots of stop lights, power brakes, want a mean sounding idle

whatever gears 3.73? come in a 73 i know its a 8 3/4 with 3 speed

upping compression n porting heads, headers and dual plane high rise intake

Please, please dont buy a cam for the sound.

Give us your measured CR, Intended use, carburetion, intake manifold, present valvetrain and gearing.

Most common gear in the 8 3/4 A bodys were 3:23s Upping your compression and porting the heads will make a huge difference in power. I agree with Tony Fields the cam he listed would be great for your combo.

im not just going for sound but i wouldnt want some stock sounder either ha

havnt measured cr yet but around 9.3 or suitable for mid grade pump gas, 4 barrel eddy, weiand dual plane high rise intake, and 904 tranny. not sure on rear end gears but i dont plan on changing them
