Have any of you tried this cam in a 408 ? This engine has 10.5 to1 comp.
stock Eddy heads , 750 Quick Fuel carb, Eddy Air Gap, TTi 3 inch exhaust, 3500 converter and a 3.73 Dana.

It now has a 284/484 and runs pretty good but the lifters seem slow to pump up on startup and I thought that I might try a different cam if I change the lifters.

Thanks,
Dustaar

Good camshaft, roughly same duration range at .050 as the 284 with a bunch more lift.

They can be a bit noisy due to the quicker lift rate..

I havent built the engine yet but thats whats going in to it. No matter what other cam I program into the engine build nothing seems to match it for my build.

Should be a good one. I have the bigger version, the XE296HL in my Duster and I'm happy with it. I've been running it with an air gap intake...been thinking of trying a single plane out to see what happens.
