I recently purchased a Jeg's 2500-2800 stall converter (PN555-60408) and I just noticed that it has a special note which reads "Neutral Balanced. Use B&M flexplate with 10''BC and correct counterweight"

I've got to be honest. I have no clue WTF this meansm so I called Jeg's. To;d them what I had, and the guy said ''If it bolts up to your current flexplate you'll be fine'' If this is true, and it's just a matter of the converter bolts not lining up, then can't I just re drill the flex plate (Ghetto, I know but I'd hate to part with $90.00 I don't have to)

Any ideas, advice, or anyione with a B&N flexplate they want to sell

BTW it's on an externally balance 360 backed up by a 727

Thanks for any help!

if the converter is neutral balanced...no weights..

you will need the b&m flexplate for 360 externally balanced...

without the correct flexplate or weights on the converter...the engine will have a bad vibration

B&M 10236 is the right one for a 360/727 combo IIRC.
