Console Top Plate Fasteners

I started to think maybe we are discussing the exact same thing. Here is a palnut installed the way it's supposed to be.

It's the smaller nuts that go on the studs that join the top plate to the console base.

Well, the speed nut or Pal nuts my local Ace had didn't fit. #6 was too small and #8 was too big. I ended up grabbing some #8 spring nuts and they fit perfect.
