Convertible Sun Visors

Two quick questions about sun visors on my 69 Barracuda.
What is the base metal of the bracket, chromed pot metal or cast aluminum?
How do you remove the visor itself from the stem?

Chromed pot metal. Removal is just to rock and slide the visor off the shaft. If you're not concerned about the fabric, use some WD40 or similar to help.
