convertor shutter

What is convertor shutter, what is the cause and what can be done about it. Thanks.

..............Converter shudder is the clutch locking and unlocking.......u can get a product called shudder gaurd from Wynns..........usually a bandaid fix, u may also have the wrong fluid, in it , u could also get it flushed ans new filter............kim..........

Kim's right. It's similar to a manual clutch shudder, like when the flywheel or pressure plate is warped. There are kits available that are supposed to help. The Trans-go kit claims to help it because it raises the apply pressure. I have put in quite a few Trans-go kits but never in a lockup trans. so I don't know how much it helps.
