I don’t post often but thought some would appreciate this... My dad bought this 72 Scamp in 73 as his first car. It’s been around my whole life so obviously the older I get the more I appreciate the old car. At a young 36 years of age, life is somewhat hectic so we don’t get to enjoy the old cars as much as we would like but I do like getting one out from time to time and just slowing down a bit. I’ve been driving his Scamp daily now for two weeks and enjoying every minute of it! It rolled over 244k mi the first part of this week... Using it as a daily, I have to pick up our three kids from school/daycare and commute about 35min home. The kids love riding in Papas old car! I looked in my mirror on the way home today and got a shot of my middle child looking “cool”. Just thought I would share as there seems to be very few of my generation that want to slow down and appreciate how things use to be...

They are all a mess! Really hope at least one wants to hang around mess with cars some day...

Some great pics and memories for you to cherish into their adult years! They seem like they’re happy being around dad’s cars. Can’t beat a great family with an awesome dad! Thank you for sharing.

Great pics, and thank you for sharing them. It's nice that you still feel young at 36, even though that is the most hectic time of life for most people. Keep enjoying every second of it you can. I was 36 a few days ago......and then I blinked my eyes and all of a sudden I'm 63! Seriously, it goes that quick. :realcrazy:

It really is a crazy time in life.... Most days seem to end with me wondering where the day went and realizing I failed on multiple fronts. It’s as if the seasons of life are passing so quickly that my feeble mind can’t keep up! I’ve conceded to just trying to maintain some sort of balance through these years and trying not to make any short sighted decisions that would negatively affect the direction we’re headed in life. Not always easy, as I’m sure you know.... Spending any time with dad on the cars and trucks really helps!! Funny how I never really appreciated the hours we’ve spent of my life in the shop together until I have to make that time happen. Just hoping when I’m at your place in life one of these knot heads will want to wrench with me or at the very least cruise along!
