Sometimes there is a small puddle of coolant on the flat area on top of the front cover. It's hard to tell where it's coming from.

I changed the small bypass hose. It seemed like it stopped but then the engine overheated after driving a few minutes and then steam/coolant started coming out from the water pump side of the hose.

It must have had an air pocket in the system or maybe it didn't pressurize right. I tightened the hose clamp and fixed that. While looking at the bottom edge of the intake manifold gasket, it looked like tiny bubbles were coming out. Could it be the intake gasket? Wasn't sure because I was thought that was just to seal the oil.

Thanks for any help!

I could be wrong but I think a few intake bolts go into water jacket holes. I thought when I did my 318 I had to seal a couple. Front was one of them.

O oka. Gonna take another look when it's dry now that the new hose is on. Thanks.
