correct inner fender splash shield

just received a pair. Car is a 72 Demon. My old ones look exactly as what was shipped, except that the shipped ones have a raised bracket with a welded in nut in the center, and my originals have the same welded in nut, but it is not on the raised bracket. It is obvious that this is not going to work and I was wondering what the raised bracket style was used on, so I can try and resell them. Thanks

probably for a duster as the fenders are different. I ran into this with my duster, and later found the correct ones. the fender on your demon is tappered back at the bottom of the wheel arch, and a duster fender is not, and so I found that the splach sheilds are slightly different as well. I think I have a pair of the plastic sheilds for a dart/demon if your interested. let me know. There in good shape. I know the early cars had steel sheilds, but I perfer the plastic ones as they wont rust.
