OK,I need some 8 3/4 rear measurements.. I need over all (flange to flange) and center pin to center pin measurements for B-body and maybe e-body 8 3/4.
I'll tell you what I am trying to achieve,and maybe you all can offer some insite (and save me alot of research)...:
Basically,I am going to swap in an 8 3/4 to my 72 Dart. I am eventually going to convert to 4 wheel power discs,and will be running 17 or 18" wheels.(w/BBP)
So what I need to know is ,wich rear can I get that has BBP axles,the correct spring spacing AND axel length,so I dont have to do any spring relocating,and still fit 18" wheels with a moderate tire width.
I know the A-body 8 3/4 is narrow,and that would move my axel flange closer to the springs (resulting in the wheel/tire possibly rubbing on the leaf,therefore the need to relocate the springs) Correct?
I dont mind moving the perches on the axel housing,but I dont want to do any cutting/welding to the unnibody.
Any info/advice would be greatly appreciated.
