Now that MOPAR Leo is no longer rebuilding door hinges, I'm wondering if the following would work for the driver's door on my 1974 Duster. Summit Racing will sell you an entire new hinge assembly. How about just buying this part and painting it. I would then use my jack to support the weight of the door while I unbolt the lower hinge. I would mark the hinge's location with masking tape before removal. Then I'd just install the new hinge assembly where the old one came out, while the upper hinge remains in place. Could this work, as I've never tried it before?
