In that gash there is a hairline crack in it,probably will have to welded.it doesn't go all through but it's cracked in one side of freeze plug hole.where cracked started or something.its thin in that spotFrom the only picture so far, I don't think it is either.

I think it's a street wedge block.its does have hp stamp on pad.Is that a max wedge block?
What thickness did you tell them you had? They want to know thickness of cast iron on block.machine shop isn't comfortable fixin it. Either goin to the kit or the cast iron rod through muggy weld.Me its this one and mine went a the way through.
