Crane Cams being sold to the highest bidder

I got an email from RacingJunk that Crane Cams is being auctioned off....lock, stock and barrel! All tooling, facilities, patents, etc. April 22, 2009. Another American legend bites the dust.

Dont think its being sold to the highest bidder per-se, its being auctioned off piecemeal. In other words, Crane no longer exists. This actually started about a month ago. They had been trying to sell it for some time, laid everyone off & closed the doors about a month ago.Damn shame.

Sounds like liquidation sale. Could be due to loss of business and too many creditors.

Well, its been pretty badly managed for the last few years, Harvey left a LONG time ago, & it was being run by a bunch of non-automotive type suits. The situation has been brewing for quite some time, but its still damned unfortunate.
