I'd normally just buy one, (if I had to pay myself for the time I spent making it I'd be way over the cost to buy). But I needed one asap, and I wasn't willing to pay as much in shipping as the tool.

Deep 1/2" drive 1-1/4" impact gave up it's life, and I used a clamp I had at work instead of a set screw, it locked on tight, much better than a set screw in my opinion.

I like that. It's always an issue with whichever one you use that they somehow work loose. I've not found a good one yet.

Slotted 3/16 180deg apart the full length, and bored it to a slip fit, clamp kept it tight the whole time. Which was a while, I had a bad indicator that was messing me up for a bit.

I had a good steel one for the sbc , the alum. one for my 440 sucked , only worked about 2 times before turning to junk.
