Cuda Hood Scoop: Color - Sheen

[Rod 69 Cuda]

I'm refinishing my 69 Cuda hood scoops. I think they are suppose to be black but what sheen (flat, satin, gloss) where they originally? Also, any other tips for priming and painting them?

i"d powder coat them.....that cushion fabric would make an AWSOME MOD TOP
