Cut and respline axles

Just wondering if c body axles would be long enough to cut and respline to stock a body length. I would go and do the measuring but im 3000 miles form home and if it wont work I will go ahead and order axles so they will be there when I get in.

I've been told that's the way to do it.
It will also be set up for the 11" drum brakes, as the distance from the wheel flange to the axle bearings will be .25" more than the stock A-body.
So when you grab the axles, grab everything from the backing plates out, so you'll have all the correct brake parts to work from.

I new I bought these big block c body cars for somethin, Ive got 3 of um that Im usin for parts.
