D.U.I. systems..can anyone shed some info.

thinking about purchasing the DUI ignition/distributor set up to elimate all the other junk from the engine compartment. I was wondering if anyone is running one of these set ups and what they think of it...good or bad.
I have heard they are decent for a small block...just wondering before I pony up the $$$ for it.

If you have clearance for the version that has the coil in the cap it would be a good choice for elminating some wiring. However, if you need the small cap version with the seperate coil then you have lots of choices from Mallory, MSD, Accel, Pertronix that all have self contained electronics.

My decision would be based on whether the DUI has an adjustable mechanical advance because the other do.

A buddy of mine builds race cars, he told me the other day that he's thrown out all of his MSD stuff and has been using DUIs exclusively. He's says they're great, not a single problem and the cars go faster.
