I have no problem with having a black snake around. Mind you, I don't like to be surprised by them, but they do keep the pest problem down. Best thing though, we have lots of copperheads here in Missouri, and black snakes will dine on them as well. Much rather have the blacks, than the coppers!!

I'm the opposite, I didn't like 'em until my kid got an albino corn snake. Still weird seeing something move that has no limbs.
