Dana 35 rear axle

I found this DANA 35 REAR AXLE from 92 jeep cherokee with hub to hub including drum.
Question
1. is this good for my 73 Scamp replacement?
2. what do I need to do?
3. what would the work involve?
4. how would this compare to 8.75 sure grip I've been reading?

Are you sure that is a Dana 35 and not a 8 1/4 chrysler. Depends on your intended use. a Dana 35 is to small to take much abuse.

There's a saying in the Jeep world: "friends don't let friends upgrade Dana 35s." If you plan on putting any real power down, I wouldn't bother with a D35.
