Dana 60 Carrier

Do I need to change the carrier in my Dana to go from 4:56 gears to 4:10s or is the carrier also good for the 4:10 gears?? :burnout:

It should be, if memory serves me correctly the same carrier spans 4.10 to 4.88.

If your current set up has a spacer, then you can use it for the 4.10's. If no spacer, you either need a special set of 4.10's (thin ring gear) or a 3 series carrier.

I thought so too but a rear end "specialist" at the car show this weekend told me the carrier was 4:54 and up...

What is the spacer you are refering to - behind the ring??

yea its a convoluted thing lol... just call strange and they can get you straightened out...

but from experiance... we were able to use the same carrier on the 4.56 and 4.30... so i would think 410 and up
