hi people, a question i just bought a f100 diff and he says it's a dodge diff so i checked it out and it's a dana 60 i think. can you please help me decode it? the webbing has us pat on the top and bottom 1888618 and 2018188, on the other side seems like a 60 or 80, c30255 on the other side top. the crown wheel has 11 14 62 dana 30360 b3r82 41-10. Ive done some research abd fond out it's 4.1 gears and duild date of gears is 11 14 62, but what does b3r82 mean? and no there is no numbers on the tube to id it with, rusted off. thanks in advance.

Looking at the diff cover, look at the 5 o'clock spot by the cover. On the housing,Dana usually stamps the model diff number there.

bill of material number should be stamped on one of the tubes

BOM number can be decoded at dana/spicer website

http://www2.dana.com/expertforms/deabill.aspx

for instance, my axle tube on the rear i got from a 1-ton 1980 dodge van had this number on the passenger side tube: 603994 1

also, my ring gear had this stamped on it: 41-11

that is the ratio 41 / 11 = 3.727272727 (3.73:1)

i thought my numbers were gone from the tube also, but after searching and searching and searching i found them
