Semi floating is the common set up where the axle is flanged for the wheel and full floaters the axle bolts in to a hub with bearings carrying the weight of the vehicle like a one ton rear. Cars and light trucks are semi floaters.Full floaters the axle only drives the hub it doesnt support the weight.
