dana/spicer power lock sure grip?

I'm rebuilding a clutch pack OEM sure grip and not sure if the grooves in the carrier are wear from the bellville washer and friction plate tabs or are machined that way at the factory. If it's wear is there a repair for this? see pics

Wear. Typical on high mileage units. Won't affect operation. The plates are harder than the casting.
