Took MMII out around the long block for the last ride before winter and lo and behold some JA pulls a left in front of me into the local liquor store. All my fears of driving her flashed before my eyes. I pulled in, infuriated and calmly said to JA getting out of his car, you didn't see me coming down you, and his idiot response was,,,,,,,

You shouldn't be going so fast. No sorry man, I didn't see ya, no accepting responsibility for a what might have been a brain fart. Were you in that much of a hurry to get your booze you were blinded???

WAFI !!!!!

Sorry but its the "me" generation.

If I had my way I'd pull more than half of the people's drivers licenses.

a buddy of mine has a '72 (ish) 'cuda- he was recently rear-ended by a kid in a new Mazda (demolished the front end of the car). My buddy was stopped at a stop sign when he was hit. The kid gets out of his car and says "why did you stop? There was nothin' coming!"

Sorry, but I GOTTA ask the question.... Were you speeding?

If you were, it doesn't excuse the other drivers conduct, I'm just curious because of his comment, to you.

I got to try out the 4 wheel disks on my 67 about 2 days after I got it all together. I was going THE SPEED LIMIT up a 2 lane one way in town, and someone decided to pull out in front of me from a stop sign, crossing.

Next thing I know, we are sliding down the street, tires bawling and squaling. Since the thing now had much bigger, better tires on it, IT REALLY came to a stop. I'm sure the noise impressed the guy who I damn near hit. And I'm sure he heard me yelling obscenities, as well, LOL

This is just disturbing....had a problem last time out on the bike. Asshat was trying to make time on a four (2 each direction) lane road. He was getting nowhere quick & his lane was ending. He squeezed in behind me. If I was more flexible I could have reached back and touched his bumper. I had no where to go, car right in front of me. Turned around and motioned to back off. First chance he had he came around me. I followed him when he turned. He pulled in a driveway, jumped out of the car and took off running. I went down the road to turn around. I stopped at the driveway again, he was standing on the porch with his wife, phone in hand, screaming he was calling the cops. I sat there for 30 seconds before leaving. I don't take kindly to someone to people getting that close to me when I am on the bike.

Someone tries to follow me home...well, let's say that I have a pound of roofing nails in the console and leave it at that.

I had a bike change lanes in front of me, had to hit my brakes to keep from knocking his *** off. then he motions to me to back off like I did something wrong. he acted like he was reaching in his saddle bags and throwing some thing out in front of me. ( figured it was nails), if I WOULD HAVE HAD A FLAT I THINK I WOULD HAVE RUN HIM OFF THE ROAD DAM BIKERS ANYWAY!------LOL------just kiddin junkie

I always have more than nails in my console, or, most of the time on me.

Hell Yeah! I wish every city and town would follow Kennesaw and Nelson, Georgia and make it against the law NOT to own a firearm. I'm not gonna bother anyone on the road or elsewhere! If everybody carried, idiots might be less likely to f### with someone else! Most of the guys I know now have a permit to carry. Hell, they give a license to drive to any idiot that comes along, at least you have to take a course and qualify for a gun permit.

Don't throw roofing nails on the road, then everybody suffers.

hey Frankie, to clarify things the situation as it unfolded a little more, It was a short run from the red light I left, to the liquor store entrance. I had just got into second when my friend started to turn in (at which time I let off the gas) then he stopped, which led me to think he saw me, so I got back on the gas, and boom he pulls in front of me. At that point it was lock em up time, simply because $$$$ signs were dancing in my head. I stopped probably 15 feet from him, so it wasn't as close as it could have been. If I didn't it was a t-bone time.

As you mentioned, the speed defense factor has no bearing for him, He has no defense to the illegal left turn regardless of speed. He is not an instrument of speed detection, he is a bad driver. After his comment, I asked him if he knew the highway traffic act regarding a left turn at which time he mumbled something and walked away.

I think he plain out had a brain fart, in a rush to get a bottle (and I am judging this on his looks and demeanor), and a simple sorry man would have done it for me. Maybe he was still drunk, although I'm not a breathalyzer, so I am just throwing that out there. Who knows!

Who knows at the end of the day!

noone is worth the aggravation. We're all supposed to practice defensive driving, and people will do dumb things on the road. Just know it, and plan for it.
