dart rear deck lid ?

i have a 73 dart and have had 2 different deck lids on the car and the latch does not line up and latch correctly. one deck lid is off a 70 and the other was off a 74 both did the same thing. i have to shimm the latch to get it to work. does the 73 have to be year specific?

I have a 72 deck lid on my 73 dart with no problems.I believe they are all the same 70-75/76 Between the fact that you can move the latch up and down (it's slotted ) and the lower piece can be moved fore and aft you should have enough movement to get them to line up.which piece are you having to shim?

i have to shimm the latch on the deck lid .the lower moves side to side i know the problem is that the lower needs to move back towards the bumper
