dart sport sunroof question

i am installing the sunroof in my dart sport , and was wondering if anyone could measure or tell me the distance from the opening in the front of the sunroof to the windsheild , this would be greatly appreciated so i could get placement right the first time , thank you ed

You need the distance? Are you adding a sunroof to your car?

At the center of the car...From the back edge of the clip that covers the chrome trim joint... 7 and 7/8ths inches.

To make sure the roof opening is square with the car...

From the back edge of the windshield chrome trim to the front edge of the opening on either side just before it makes the 90 degree curve toward the rear of the roof 6 and 5/8ths inches.

I took pictures of mine but my son has my card reader so I can't download them.

Do you have the whole roof? It would be easier just to change the whole roof skin. I did that on my car. The roof frame stays with the car. There are a whole lot of spot welds to drill out and a center brace to remove. And two small bracket to weld in, but I think you would find that a much better option.
