So I have a 75 dart and I decided to swap the doors from the original plastic trim doors with the heavy *** impact beams to the traditional metal top doors I had off a really messed up 71 dart.

After I got the door mounted with the hinges from the 75, it was spung a bit when opened. I adjusted the door gaps and alignment more and the spring in the door never went away until I removed the weather seal from behind the vent winder.

So that led me to believe the weather seal is different between 67 to 72 dart hardtop with the vent wing window and cars 73 and newer without the vent window.

I came in and looked it up and most vendors have the weather strip listed as 67 to 76.

Anyone done this swap before??

I'd be tempted to take the weatherstripping off the Dart the door came from and put it in there to see what happens. Looks like you have it lined up pretty good. You may be able to adjust the weatherstripping channel inwards a little bit so it will line up. Also look at the weatherstripping channel on the donor car to see if there's a difference between it and what's on the 75. It might be different due to vent window and slick window....oops, winder! :)

I had to swap the channel that holds the seal when I done it, also A pillar trim needs trimmed too from memory.
