I'm in the process of organizing a 5.7L hemi conversion, Also looking at doing a custom dash/interior.
My idea was to use a new cluster from a hemi vehicle - say charger or something similar.
How difficult would it be in hooking up the cluster? In theory most connections would be there already right (plug and play almost). Just unsure about speedo etc as I'm guessing they aren't mechanical like our old systems. Will be using a 6spd manual transmission (probably t56)
I've seen an old charger with what appears to be a 300c dash in it on a youtube video but what are somethings I should look out for.
I was looking at one of the aftermarket wiring harnesses from S&P - don't know if they are suitable though for this idea of hooking up a new factory dash, or whether I'd have to stick with the factory harness to have the right wires and pins and set about removing what I don't need.
Any info would be good.
