Dash Pad or Dash Cap??? Help

Anyone with some wisdom about these two items???? I ordered a full Dash Pad with the hardware and it just looked awful. Felt, looked and smelled like a Nerf football. The seams looked terrible and were very visible. Where can you order a deecent replacement??? also, has anyone had any luck with a dash cap?? Do they look good glued on or are they very noticable??? Thanks
