Dash removal

Hi everyone.

I was just wondering if anyone here has ever removed their dash? A Dart dash. Almost sounds like a super hero. Is it a bird.... a plane...NO it's Dart Dash!

Yup, take the winshield out. there are a row of bolts at the base, under the rubber and glass. also, 2 bolts, one on each side above the kick panels. Or right around that area. oh ya, drop the steering column or remove it. piece of cake!

Uh oh...Think I'll let the body man do it when I get it painted again. The dash has to be painted black.

can you put it back on with the windshield in? my windshield is glued in so to take the windshield out and glue it back in everytime i wanna remove the dash wouldnt be any fun lol

Nope , the bolts are under the rubber and glass.....

You can do it with the windsheild in, but you have to cut the bottoms of the bolts off that attach the dash to the firewall. It's a pain in the rear but its do able.

To install with the windsheild in place you have to put the tin nuts on the dash frame and use shorter bolts so they dont push against the windsheild gasket.
