Yeah they are. But my wiring skills won't let me make that mod.

I put this on my Barracuda and it makes a pretyy sanitary installation. Used a Pertronix module and flamethrower e-coil. Solves the problem of where to mount the ignition module with fenderwell headers.

In used the adapter plate from this guy along with a good HEI module and crane ps50 coil and it works really well.

Cliff, if you could wire up a 12v ignition wire for that distributor you can hook my kits up no problem.
It really is only 3 wires.
The coil 12v and the two that go to the distributor.

Can you pm me a price on one of your kits?

I vote basic hei conversion.
If I were going to spend any real money on an ignition it would mainly be to implement distributor-less / crank trigger system that had programmable maps and MAP / other feedback.

No point in blowing money to enhance a system that is reliant on slack chain accuracy. I reckon if you were belt drive or gear drive you may be closer to a crank trigger, sort of.

And, for my own benefit, has anyone here used this distributor: http://www.performancedistributors.c...getripower.htm

It's $60 bucks cheaper than the DUI, and should fit our A bodies.

That system is not HEI, just a GM ECU firing a standard type coil.
Although it does say "high Powered"
