Hey guys, well I need to get some opinions on other issues than my trans problems.

I have blown a few rear difs in my experiances, so this noise is unsettling.
It gets most noticable right before coming to a stop. You can hear the ring and pinion meshing. Or thats what it sounds like. Also the typical clunk through the drive shaft is heard when put in gear. What do ya think?
Im expecting the worst so !:angry7:

is it a clunk or a 'ting' when you put it in gear? could have some excessive backlash between the ring/pinion or one of the bearings starting to give.

Check the pinion nut on the rearend yoke! Had one come loose on me once...busted a nice set of 3.55's before I figured it out (and I didn't drive it much either after it started!).

You could also drop your drive shaft and "feel" for any play/slop in the yoke/pinion...it doesn't take much!
