As you can see a low optioned Valiant. But, hey, what about the axle?
A misprint from the factory? Or a rare Valiant with a sbp Dana?=P~
Or is it just me filling out the numbers wrong?

The 6 under AX is for an open 3.55 8.75. No small bolt pattern Dana's. No non-Sure-Grip Dana's for that matter (in cars anyway). If it were a Sure-Grip rear, there would be an 8 after the 6.

Not beeing sarcastic: I also know there´s no sbp Dana´s. That said, what about the possibilities that: there´s misprint from the factory, or me filling in the wrong numbers?

Sure it could be a misprint. It is more likely that it has an 8.75 with open 3.55's though. What rear end is in it now?

7.25

I have been in contact with (nearly) all the 17 previous owners still alive. None of theme ever talked to me about changing rear end. But the Valiant have had at least 3 motor transplants over the years: from a 170 to a 225, then a 273 and now a 318 from a 1985 Dodge Van.

Most of the Valiants exported to Sweden, regardless what year, had a 170 /6 or a 225 /6 with a 7.25.

What are the chances of having a 170 /6 with a Dana anyway. Zero... I pressume.
