So i got to thinking... When Jake and I put his trans back together, the deep pan from Mopar has a solid adaptor to set the filter low in the pan - it only has one hole machined thru it for fluid flow... The valve body and old filter has 2 holes - assume one is for the rear pump in the 65 and older trans?? Can I simply machine a 2nd hole in the filter spacer and be good to go with the correct for 65 filter? We haven't put it in the car yet....

Good thinking.
I also needed to bore a second hole for the rear pump suction. You could get anal and counterbore the hole for an O ring. Don't forget to use the proper filter with the rear pump suction port in it.

The kit came with 2 filters...a single hole and a double hole...so I've got the right filter.... I'mglad I thought about it now rather than later.... Thanks for the verifying of my thinking!
