I am trying mineral sites for the first time ever. I got out and checked them for the first time last Friday. I am using Imperial Whitetail 30-06. The first stand is one I put up a couple of years ago and is 2K from the nearest road. It is very remote and I am the only person hunting there. It is deep woods hunting at it finest. I have seen bucks there but nothing I wanted to shoot so far. The second site is on a huge bog and is a combination deer and moose stand. I saw a very big deer there last fall but I couldn't see the antlers well enough in the thick fog to see if it was one I wanted to shoot so I let it walk. The photos at the end of the video show some bucks but it is hard to say how big the deer and antlers will be as the animals are just starting to recover from the winter here. I will have a better idea as to what is actually there the next time I check these sites around the end of July.
