Denso alternator on 69 340

I bought one of those kits from AR engineering to put a Denso on a small block. It sez it will not work with a drivers side water pump, but i test fitted anyway. It does seem to line up. Has anyone else tried this?

I’m going to throw a guess out there because I’m not sure what the difference would be. I think with the drivers side water pump the timing tab is on the passenger side. Maybe the alternator covers it. Not sure. You could always call AR Engineering and ask.
