Detroit Locker info

Hi

Ordered a new ring and pinion with brg kit from Dr Diff (8 3/4 742) to build a spare pig for my dart. Running the green brg axles and other pig has an TruTrac. This spare pig was the one I ran with stock brgs and axles and a detroit Locker. Didn't know if I needed to but I took the button out of the Detroit Locker in case the axles would bind and was wondering if any body knew if the four 3/8 bolts holding the Locker together had to torqued a certain spec or not?

Yeah. I have no doubt there's a torque spec. I don't know what it is. Dr. Diff will.

Really .........I thought you knew all about them......(Yeah they are quite easy to service. I've done quite a few. If I can figure it out, a chimp can do it.)

 

[Supershafts]

should be 25 / 30 ft lbs.

Also they may need locktite
